About five months ago I was taking 3-4 advil or aleave, 3 times per day. I had neuropathy down through my leg that gave me drop foot. I couldn't workout or even get a good nights rest if I wasn't on some kind of anti inflammatories. "I was in prettyserious trouble for a personal trainer". I had been in a car accident about a year ago and was diagnosed with L5 S1 centrally herniated disc. Iinitially went to physical therapy and chiropractic care which did nothing for me. As time went on mypain worsened. About a year later, I found myself in an orthopedic clinic in hopes of resolving my back pain. I was going "full steam ahead" on a protocol which started with the strongest anti-inflammatory going on toepidural injections and leading to surgery if these options failed. The first part of this protocol put me in the hospital for ten days with a staff infection, "scary"... The hospital told me that the anti-inflammatories I had been taking were responsible for decreasing my immune system which lead to megetting the staff infection. After this incident I gave the orthopedic protocol a rest.About a month later I was doing some research on the Internet and came across the DRX9000. In having a background in physical therapy, this DRX9000 madelogical sense though, I was still skeptical about thewhole thing. Even after meeting with Dr. Shoshany and going over the therapy and treatment, I was still a little skeptical. I decided to give 20 sessions a shot. After the firstsession I felt some immediate relief. Dr. Shoshany explain end to me that the treatments affect everyone differently. At about half way through my treatments I was totally off all of the pain medication I was taking. I was getting better rest and waking upbecause my alarm clock was ringing, not because of my back being in pain. I was able to put my socks and shoes on without a painful struggle. I was truly amazed by these results. At the end of my treatments I was pain free. Beingconcerned about re-injuring myself I kept up with my core strengthening, biking and stretching. Soon after treatment I was working with weights, circuit training at about 65% of my max intensity. I felt great, as if I could work harder but, I wanted to be smart aboutnot re-injuring myself. I worked out like this for about 2 months , modifying my training to working not only hard, but smart. There were some exercises I excluded from my workouts. Now I'm about three months out and I'm doing everything I want to do and more. I'm weight training as intense as I want to. I work out with the kettle bells. I run timed miles, I'm biking, and even boxing. I actually just started to add somekickboxing to my routine. If anyone has any questions about my experience with Dr.Shoshanny and the DRX9000 treatments, please feelfree to contact me at Crunch Fitness Christopher St.Greenwich St. location (212)366-3725 Thank you,Robert Sand,A.K.A. It's Sunday Memorial day weekend, I am waiting in line for coffee and I over hear a women that is walking with a cane describe her ailments.

She said she had a micro-disectomy for her herniated disc in her lower back two weeks ago.

She was walking with a cane and still looked she was suffering, I continued to listen and she told her friend that the doctor told her it was either a surgery or a life full of drugs.

I was thinking did she know there was a non-surgical option? Did her medical doctor know that Non surgical spinal decompression has a much higher rate of success than surgery.

Most medical doctors do not know enough about this procedure.

If you have a herniated disc and are considering getting a surgery please look into a Non-surgical approach first. When Spinal decompression is combined with a Core strengthening program the results are outstanding and you do not need to take weeks of from work or your body doesn't need to heal from surgery and anesthesia.

I have always said try the least invasive procedure first and then if that doesn't work then move up the ladder.

Some people still listen to their doctor as if he or she knew everything without doing any research on their own. When I herniated my disc I knew surgery was not an option for me.

I run a busy Chiropractic office in Manhattan and have two children under 5.

I knew that most surgeries have a poor outcome after two or three years.

Some patients want the quick fix or instant results, this is not the way the body works.

When someone starts a spinal decompression protocol I let them know that everyone responds differently.

I have had patient that where suffering and living on vicodin that after the third visit on the DRX 9000 report amazing symptomatic relief, I have others take the full twenty visits.

If a patient has multiple disc herniation versus a single disc herniation results may take longer.

I have developed a 18 page informative report on:

What is Spinal Decompression?

How does spinal decompression work?

What kind of results can I expect from spinal decompression?

Case studies for spinal decompression and more.

If you live or work in the Metro Manhattan area please visit my website at

and email me and i will send you a hard copy full color report that is research and documented.
If you live in Manhattan and have a herniated disc please consult with me to see if non-surgical spinal decompression can help you.

If you suffer from Chronic Low Back pain and tried everything without success, this breakthrough treatment offers back pain sufferers relief when others methods have failed.

This medical breakthrough has caught the attention of the Canadian government. What is interesting about this is that before they will approve payment for a back surgery, if the patient has a herniated disc they must complete 20 -Non-surgical Spinal decompression treatments and if after that if no success then they will approve a surgery.

Eventually Spinal decompression will become the standard treatment for the herniated disc, until that time some insurance companies may question its validity. There are several research studies that prove its effectiveness go to my website to see

I have listed most of the studies to date and continue to update monthly.

I have been getting numerous emails and phone calls from doctors across the country that are interested in getting into the Spinal decompression market.
The number one question I get is what table do I have and how do I like it.
I always tell them the same thing that this technique is not a miracle cure for everyone with back pain, That if you are selective in picking patients that fit the clinical guidelines you can get amazing results with their symptoms when all other methods have failed.
Recently I had a patient that has (F.B.S.S )or Failed back Surgery syndrome she did not want a second surgery after the third visit on my DRX 9000 spinal decompression table she felt better and has been able to sleep through through the night.
Anyway back to the table, I like the DRX 9000 because it is a heavy duty table and has great technology built into it unlike any other table on the market.
I have several other spinal decompression tables in my Manhattan practice, I prefer the DRX 9000 over all others due to patient comfort and ease of use for me and obviously the results I have been. getting.

I also believe it is crucial to analysis the patients gait patterns and correct any imbalance in their gait pattern, I use the gait scan made by a company called they make excellent orthotics.
I also use a lumbar orthotisis made by a company called cybertech that I give patient to stabilize their back after treatment.

This is a picture of me harnessing a patient for treatment on the DRX 9000. Patient placement is vital for a comfortable spinal decompression session. Most patients if properly place will fall asleep within the first 5 minutes. I recently introduced Whole body vibration into my Spinal decompression protocol using the Power plate.

When a patient uses the power plate it helps stimulate the soleus muscle which is usually inhibited in most patients and helps stimulate deep core muscles.

I do not use it for every patient, some patients with acute LBP and hot disc herniations need to get past the inflamation phase prior to use.

WWE Superstar JBL Treated on the Axiom Worldwide DRX9000™ True Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression System with Manhattan Spinal Decompression Specialist

In the spring of 2005, JBL broke his top vertebrae in half, and suffered both a herniated and bulged disc in his lower back during a match in London, England.
At the time of his injury, doctors told him there was nothing they could do for his herniated discs –- surgery would just aggravate them and make the damage irreparable. Recently, a non-surgical technique has been developed that is ubiquitous with professional sports teams for the treatment of herniated discs.
"It's basically your modern day traction," said JBL. "The DRX9000 is the machine, and it's what all the pro teams are using. It's what everyone is going to for lower back injuries instead of surgery. I'm very skeptical, obviously, but the doctor said it's not going to just make my back get better, it's actually going to heal it."
The tissue surrounding the spine that holds the discs in place is the annulus fibrosus. When the annulus tears, the discs slip out and put pressure on the spine. The spinal decompression treatment JBL is undergoing will actually stretch his spine through a series of systematic movements according to body weight and tension in the spine. The process will allow the discs to relax and sink back into place, at which point the annulus can heal around the discs.
"Its uncomfortable and you get sore from it, but from what I understand, it's not that painful," said JBL.
The injury resulted in a slew of health issues, from incontinence to numbness in his legs, and these issues ultimately forced him into retirement.
"The symptoms that I had from nerve damage alarmed me to a great degree," JBL told "I mentioned that to Vince McMahon; he didn't know anything about it, and took me out of the ring immediately."
JBL said it was disappointing to end his career at less than his best. Even though he tried to hide it, he couldn't do the things he wanted to do.
"My body had deteriorated where I was almost a parody of myself," JBL admitted. "Looking back at those tapes, it makes me sick that I had gotten that out of shape and couldn't do the things I wanted to do. I couldn't workout, and it was everything I could do to get through the night. By the time I traveled to the show, I could barely walk. I couldn't even stretch to warm up," said JBL. "So I didn't leave the way I wanted to leave. I left on top which was great, but I don't want the last memory of me to live forever to be the fat guy that wrestled Rey Mysterio in Bakersfield, Calif."
JBL is feeling optimistic about the procedure, which has an 86 percent success rate with only a four percent rate of reocurrence. He began treatment yesterday, and will undergo it every day for the next six weeks. He already has plans for what he'd like to do when it's over.
"Hopefully before I go play golf in the middle of April at St Andrew's, I'll be healthy enough to walk 18 holes," JBL said.

I recently started a patient that has been seeing a physical therapist for the past 6months and has not seen any improvement. This patient was severely antalgic (walks crooked or sideways).

I reviewed his MRI's and confirmed the presence of multi level disc bulges.

I put him on the Spinal Decompression table for 30 minutes with a minimal force of 60 Lbs. he weighed 165lb.

After 30 minutes of non Surgical spinal decompression followed by 12 minutes of H wave stim and ice and cold laser therapy he was much straighter.

I braced him and recommend that he start a program of Non surgical Spinal decompression on the DRX 9000.

When a patient has a severe bulge or has been under care without a positive outcome a series of spinal decompression can really alleviate pain and discomfort.

I am starting to see Medical doctors referring me patients.

Most MD's have patients that don't get better with pain medication and they are tired of hearing them complain. If a MD is educated about the effectiveness of Spinal decompression and the safety they will send patients.

I am a Manhattan based Spinal decompression specialist, I focus on treating patients with Lumbar disc herniations and severe Back pain that have not been helped by tradational methods. or
Manhattan Disc herniation treatment.

Spinal decompression in New York City
I had a patient that had a numb area in her right upper thigh for the past 15 years, When she was getting off the DRX 9000 spinal decompression table she started scratching it because it was itchy. This was after the third visit.
She originally came in because of severe Sciatica and she had a back surgery 3 years ago.
If you had been considering spinal decompression, I know many people have seen those full page ads in nyc papers like metro and am about spinal aid doctors.
Spinal decompression works if you have been properly screened and selected.
I highly recommend it to those suffering with pain due to herniated discs, sciatica, spinal stenosis.
