New York Chiropractor,Spinal Decompression
With all the confusion about the Non Surgical Spinal Decompression out there I wanted to give an honest answer to both patients considering this treatment and practioners considering investing money into this new technology.
Does Spinal Decompression work? Yes! it does help patient suffering with herniated discs and sciatica and stenosis.

Is it a miracle like some of these advertisements I see in newspapers? This is a treatment is just that a treatment not a panacea.
I have doctors calling me ready to take a mortgage on their house to by a DRX 9000 and hoping it will solve all their finiancial problems and cure all the patients with herniated discs.
This table and many others like it do have a high success rate(86% to be exact) but they dont work on all patients.
I warn patients that are seeing doctors that have a spinal decompression unit to consult make sure a thorough exam is conducted along with review of any diagnostic test like a MRI before considering starting treatment. Visit
Also be sure that the doctor is not just starting you to meet the expensive lease payment on the table make sure you are a candiadate.

This is only for the month of August and the rates will actually increase to 3,800 for 20 visits in September.

New York Chiropractor, Spinal decompression
I would like to talk a little about all the controversy about a technique called Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression and all the A.K.A's like but not limited to {DRX 9000, IDD therapy, Vax-D Treatment, LCD Therapy}.All these treatment bascally do the same thing and that is unload or decompress the spine to influence change within the intervertbral disc to rehydrate and make permanent corrective changes to the quality of the Disc tissue.
I believe that I am one of only a few doctors that practice in New York that offer this fantastic treatment that is honest about the treatment.
This was recently brought to my attention because several patients see ads for this FDA approved treatment (which it is) that was discovered or invented by N.A.S.A ( which it is not) and want to know if it some kind of marketing scam or a god's honest miracle.

Spinal Decompression is a succesful treatment for Herniated Discs, Sciaitaca, Stenosis and other commonly hard to treat back or neck related conditions.
This treatment has a high success rate 86%, without risks of surgery and offers a correction of tissue quality and integrity. This treatment must be followed exactly and must include Co-care with Supplemention with( Omega 3-6, Calcium Magnessium,Boswellia, and others, and A Complete post treatment Muscular rehabaliative protocol.
This treatment works but it does require patient participation, If a patient is obese and a smoker and does not drink water and has had a prior surgery these patients will not see optimal results. I will add more with my future blogs. Visit mty website at

T.G.I.F., this past week was extremely busy! So many patients are inquiring about the Spinal decompression treatment. The most commonly asked questions are, What is the diffrence between the DRX 9000 and the other Decompression tables? and Why doesn't my insurance cover this? First I want to answer the DRX 9000 issue, This is just one table of the many tables that has an FDA approval. I recommend patients look into the FDA status and they will see that the DRX 9000 is not the only table out there and there are some tables that are newer and they take up less space in the doctors office.
Most insurance companies do not pay for Spinal Decompression therapy because it is failry new and just like Lasik eye surgery it may take several years for them to recognize the values of spinal decompression and how it can save millions of dollars per year.
I recently learned that Cananda now requires patients with herniated discs to complete a series of Spinal decompression prior to reffering a patient to a neuro-surgeon for a surgical consult.

I was watching late night Television last night and the was a program on called Back Pain breakthrough. This was a infomercial for Vax-D treatment, This Treatment is effective to treat hernaited discs and buldging disc and stenosis, but what I do not like about Vax-D treatment is the technology is dated and the technique requires the patient to lie on their stomach and it also can cause shoulder injury.
I prefer the patient to be on their back and I use a newer table that allows me to treat the patient in a three dimensional enviorment. I also hear allot about DRX 9000 and how they claim superioty but I still mantain that most new Spinal Decompression tables essentialy do the same thing that is decompress the spine and allow the Disc tissue to mend itself and repair the disc herniation. Visit for more information on how this technique can help you.
